Welcome to The Lake District - Kosuichihou

A uniquely beautiful corner of the UK

langdalepikes.jpgWelcome to the Lake District National Park in England's most beautiful county - a landscape crafted by nature over millions of years with majestic mountain ranges, mirrored glacial lakes, tumbling waterfalls and rolling countryside intertwined with quaint traditional villages.

This landscape has inspired poets and writers for centuries and its tranquillity leaves visitors with lasting memories of a truly wonderful place. Beatrix Potter lived here, her love of this land was behind the creation of some of the best-loved children's stories of all time, the most famous character being Peter Rabbit.

William Wordsworth, inspired by a walk along Ullswater, wrote 'The Daffodils' - these famous flowers can still be found today along the lakeshore in the spring. John Ruskin, the great artist, writer and founder of the arts and crafts movement, was inspired to create some of his most famous work by the grandeur of the landscapes.

waterhead.jpgThe Lake District offers visitors great accommodation choices from 4-star hotels to friendly guest houses and farm stays and wonderful places to visit from family attractions to museums, historic houses and gardens. You can take mini bus tours, lake cruises and steam train trips along the way. The area is rich in arts and culture with a fantastic range of events to enjoy all year round. Cumbria has some of the best food in the UK and you will find excellent pubs, restaurants and tearooms where you can eat and drink award-winning local produce, from gingerbread to cheeses and beers to damson gin.
